2015 Shamayim V'Aretz National Conference

Campus Center

Jewish Animal Welfare Conference

Please join us for six vegan gourmet meals, insightful talks and presentations, community building, spiritual growth, outdoor activities and lots of fun at our third annual national conference in Los Angeles at the Brandeis-Bardin Campus in Simi Valley, CA. This year's conference  will take place on December 18-20, 2015 at the beautiful Brandeis Bardin Institute in Simi Valley, CA.

Community Building

During the past two conferences, we have developed  an extensive network of Jewish animal welfare activists. This conference will strengthen our previous connections and build new bridges. This conference will also provide a supportive space for new and seasoned activists, experts, and Jewish leaders to interact.

Campaigns and Projects

This year's conference will focus on our key campaigns in improving the lives of animals, as well as some new initiatives in the ending the worst practices in the kosher industry. This includes the "shackle and hoist" method used to slaughter livestock, particularly cattle as well as the kosher veal industry. Other campaigns topics will be released closer to the conference. We will also continue working on our educational initiatives.
