Activism

The Shamayim V'Aretz Institute  campaigns for the ethical treatment of animals. In addition to educational initiatives, the institute targets the most egregious violations of Jewish ethics within the food industry.

Current Campaigns

- End Kosher certification of baby cows (veal)
- Stop using chickens for kapparot
- Stop certifying meat that was killed using shackle and hoist techniques in South America
- General improvements to kosher slaughter
- Reduce meat consumption
The Shamayim V'Aretz Institute is a Jewish animal welfare organization that educates leaders, trains advocates, and leads campaigns for the ethical treatment of animals.  Contact us at [email protected]
