Kosher Veganism: The Shamayim V'Aretz Kosher Restaurant Certificate

There are 7.3 million Americans who are vegetarians, 1 million vegans, and 22.8 million people who keep a vegetarian inclined diet. The Shamayim V'Aretz Institute believes that it is time to create a paradigm shift in the way we eat whether it is in your kitchen or at your local restaurant.

One way to achieve this goal is by educating restaurants about the growing number of people who keep a vegan or vegetarians diet. Our hope is that restaurants will realize the market potential and offer more vegan dishes on their menus – a win for patrons and a win for restaurants. Shamayim V'Aretz hopes that one day every restaurant will have vegan options.

Those restaurants that offer a certain number of vegan dishes will receive the Shamayim V'Aretz restaurant window certificate, letting all passersby know of the vegan delights offered there and free advertising on our website. You can also find a list of the Shamayim Certified restaurants here.

If you are a restaurant owner or if you want to get involved in this project contact us at [email protected] with the subject Restaurant Certificate. Or please fill out this short form and send it to us to start the process.
